Rhode Home Rescue specializes in rescuing dogs from unhealthy situations – be it kill shelters, incapable owners, and surrenders – and finding them the furever homes they deserve. At Rhode Home, we fully believe that adopting a rescue not only save them, but saves you too!
Rhode Home Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose volunteers have many years of rescue experience. Our mission is to identify and rescue all types of dogs from overwhelmed euthanasia shelters and abusive situations and place them in secure, loving homes. We are a foster-based program, consisting of all volunteers, and have decided to branch out on our own in order to fulfill our mission.
Prior to a Rhode Home Rescue dog being adopted, each dog undergoes an examination by a veterinarian, is updated on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. At Rhode Home Rescue we firmly believe that a healthy, well trained dog is the key to the successful integration of a rescued dog and ensures a wonderful, loving companion for years to come.
The average cost to rescue a dog in 2012 was $720. Rhode Home Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and 100% of donations and fees are used for the rescue and care of these dogs!
Volunteers are our forgotten heros! Everyday, these wonderful souls pickup pooches from transport, take them to appointments, and help us with events!
Since our inception in February 2016, we′ve been able to assist and find furever homes for so many dogs!
Rhode Home Rescue depends on public support! Since our founding, we′ve been able to rescue and support our animals through the kindness of you!

They are the best! They have the cutest dogs. We adopted a puppy from them, and were very pleased with the process. I like the way they truly care about their dogs, they won't just give them to anyone.
Poor communication skills - got different information from everyone we were in contact with. Not pleasant AT ALL at the adoption event where we were told the puppy we picked out would be ready for us to take home THAT day. Misinformation about the age of the puppy, and all medical updates were incorrect. Finally told that someone would definitely call on Tuesday to straighten this all out, and one week later, still no call.
RHR truly loves their fur families! we found our lovable sweet Harper last weekend!!! she was well taken care of by her foster family!!!???????
