Without fosters, Rhode Home couldn’t function. Help us find homes for our rescues!
Thanks to NBC 10 WJAR for featuring adoptable Calypso tonight with her foster dad Dave. She’s a star 🌟! #AdoptAShelterPetDay
I highly recommend Rhode Home Rescue for adopting an animal. It was a very pleasant experience adopting from this organization. The volunteers where amazing. I also love that these animal do not sit in a shelter, what I saw at our local animal shelter was abuse. The animals may go outside 8 hours a week if they have a volunteer to take them out. It’s not guaranteed they even go outside. They sit in what I call a jail cell while it takes months for them to make a decision on who they allow to adopt them. Shelters like our local one needs to take some training from Rhode Home Rescue instead of their terrible egotistical practices. Save yourself time and energy and just apply with Rhode Home Rescue.
I adopted Brock aka Elvis (Lab/Retriever Mix) with them. The adoption went easy and smoothly. They were very helpful and encouraging with the process. I was pre-approved with them before I went and all I had to do was to fill out a quick form via phone app. Donated via PayPal. I've had Brock for nearly a month now and he's been great. So happy with him and how everything went. Highly recommend this rescue!
What a wonderful experience getting our newest family member. We visited the Always Adopt event to add to our family and we found Buttercup (now Princess Buttercup :)). The rescue workers are warm, caring and helpful -- more than willing to work hard to help find a perfect match between dog and family. We did not bring our dog to the event because we were not sure what to expect. But one of the staff drove all the way out to our house so Moose could meet Buttercup. He was very knowledgeable about dog behavior, was very good about understanding the dogs interaction, and facilitated a great introduction. He also let us know what we could expect during the transition and assured us that Rhode Home Rescue would be there to help in anyway we might need. If you are looking for a new family member I would highly recommend Rhode Home Rescue.
5 stars!
I discovered RI Home Rescue outside of the pet store with 10 big, happy dogs and my now buddy, a little Lhasa Apso named Arthur. It was clear that each pup was well cared for and loved in their foster home as they awaited rehoming into their forever homes. They org does great work and I'm thrilled to have found them.
